We meet on Wednesday nights from 7.30pm till 9.00pm with a 20p sub, for school years 7 upwards.

Crusaders has been in Yatton now for the last 35 years starting as a small boys only group in 1968, with a girls group starting in 1971.  With the dedication of the original leaders and their personal faith and vision the group merged and celebrated the 21st birthday service in 1992.  Over the next few years many changes occurred, and in 2002 the older Crusaders joined the Yatton Methodist Church youth group and Mid Week Crus began, and we are looking forward to the future.

At Mid Week Crus we try to show our love of Jesus through the way we play games and activities. As a youth group team work is important but so is fun, and through the games and short talks we are able to incorporate how we can make Jesus our friend.

In the past the many activities have included canoeing, ten pin bowling, weekend camps away and many more. Some of which are with the wider area, with the other West of England Crusader groups.

We have taken part in the area MAD day (Multi Activity Day), which included swimming, arts & crafts, Unihoc and football.  We were good enough in one competition to come second and bring home a shield.

Our future plans are to continue our teaching and encourage the group to grow in both membership and in faith.  We have recently had some new boys join our group, so if any girls between 11-14 are free on a Wednesday night, please come and join us!
