Rod Ingrouille moved with his wife Jane to Yatton as the Methodist Minister for Yatton and Pill in September 2009. Here he shares a bit about himself . . .
“I am a Guernsey man – born and bred – and started my working life as an apprentice carpenter/decorator.
After I came to faith in Christ I worked with various ecumenical voluntary groups in Guernsey until I went to Lebanon Missionary Bible College in Berwick upon Tweed. It was while I was there that Jane and I married and I candidated for the Methodist ministry.
We have two children: Ruth lives in Exeter and is a Primary School teacher; and Stephen is married to Bex and they are both in training for the Methodist ministry at the Wesley Study Centre in Durham.
We have served in the Pickering Circuit in North Yorkshire, Abergavenny, and lastly the Chepstow Circuit. Our ministry has always been mission centred – we believe that God in Christ is able to transform the individual, and through the individual, society itself. As such we are both strong supporters of Alpha, as well as any other means that God uses to reveal His love to all.
We are looking forward to sharing in the life and witness of the Christian community in Yatton, and pray that God will continue to bless the work of the Methodist church here.”
